90 in 90: Arsenal 3 Brentford 1

By Alex Crook

Danny Welbeck sent out a two-goal message to Unai Emery as Arsenal overcome a brave second half fightback from Championship Brentford to book their place in round four of the Carabao Cup.

Welbeck struck twice in the first half, including rounding off a superb team move reminiscent of the glory days of Arsene Wenger to fire Arsenal into a 2-0 lead.

Brentford fans’ favourite Alan Judge ended a 942-day goal drought to give the visitors hope with a brilliant long-range kick before substitute Alexandre Lacazette sealed victory in stoppage time.
