Mohammed Salah scored the two goals he need to become the fastest Liverpool player to score 50 goals for the club as The Reds crushed Red Star Belgrade to go top of Group C.
Roberto Firmino put them in front after a stodgy first twenty minutes and from then on, Liverpool were cruising.
Andy Robertson, Salah and in particular Sadio Mane were guilty of not making the most of presentable chances before Mane missed a late penalty.
His redemption came with a fourth goal for Liverpool, to seal a vital victory.
