A delightful David Brooks doubled helped Bournemouth return to winning ways by beating fellow south coast side Brighton 2-0.
Welsh international Brook put the Cherries in front on 21 minutes with a superb solo strike from 20 yards before heading in substitute Ryan Fraser’s looping cross 13 minutes from time.
Brighton – who have not beaten Bournemouth for a decade – had captain Lewis Dunk sent off for scything down striker Callum Wilson in between Brooks’ double.
The victory ended eighth-place Bournemouth’s run of seven defeats in eight games in all competitions.
