Sergio Aguero scored his 50th Premier League goal under Pep Guardiola as champions Manchester City returned to winning ways with a 3-1 triumph at ten-man Southampton.
David Silva tapped City in front from close range in the 10th minute before Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg equalised against the run of play.
City retook the lead on the stroke of half-time when Raheem Sterling’s cross struck James Ward-Prowse on the knee to send the ball spinning beyond Alex McCarthy.
Aguero headed City’s third in first-half stoppage time before Hojbjerg was sent off late on.
